From Capri this morning: It has been a very difficult couple weeks as we have watched mom's health quickly decline and knowing we only have a few more days with her. We are so grateful for the outpouring of love and support we have received from so many of you. We hope everyone will understand that caring for our mom and dad is our number one priority. In order to give them time to rest, visiting hours in the Hamilton ...home will be from 10 am to noon and 3 to 6 pm and visits will be limited to 15 minutes so that everyone who would like to see her has the opportunity to do so. We need EVERYONE to call before coming as we know there will be times she just can't have visitors. We also understand that many of our loved ones have come long distances and want opportunities to visit with each other, but this is a hospice situation and we ask that you please gather elsewhere. Also, we need all guests to park in the north driveway.

You guys are doing such a wonderful job organizing things. I love the pictures and wish I could come visit--even for just 15 minutes.
ReplyDeleteI thought I'd post some of my favorite times with Mary Lou.
My first and most endearing times with her were back in 2004 when I first joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
My heart was so tender and broken at that time because I was learning so powerfully the reality of the love of God and could see things more clearly. I didn't know anyone at church yet, and couldn't explain to anyone clearly how moved/changed/and full of love I felt; but she sat by me in Relief Society and knew exactly what I was feeling. She held my hand--literally, and sometimes I just cried--being overwhelmed. She was kind and loving--genuinely caring about me. She was a friend, an Aunt, a Sister, and often a Mother to me. Sometime later, a neighbor of hers had passed away and left behind a lot of clothes that were just about my size. She invited me over and we had fun outfitting me as a modest daughter of Heavenly Father. Being a Marine, I didn't own too many skirts or dress clothes;)
Anyway, this was the beginning of such a beautiful and deep bond. Thank you Mary Lou for everything! You're in my heart forever.
Love,
Kimberly Bingham
