Mom continued to rest comfortably today and was able to have time with her mother and siblings Fay, Dottie, and Larry.  Dad's brother Grady was able to visit, and Granddaughter Mandi, her husband Gary and baby George were there for a while as well.  Mom was able to be awake for most of the visits, which is remarkable and shows what a strong woman she is!

Mom also requested a family picture with Dad and asked that we post it on the blog.  She sends her love to all.

  2. MaryLou - I love you and so very thankful for all the love and support that you have been for me the last 17 year. You and Rowland treated me like family and taught me so much about love and kindness.(and family history stuff too)

  4. Dear grandma, I love this picture and I LOVE you. My favorite memory with you was last year, after William was born, and I had wanted a picture of the 4 generations of Hamilton men. You, Stacey, and I lined them up in Stacey and Kim's front room. We stood there, cameras in hand, and shot pictures of the 4 generations. You looked so proud of your family. I will never forget it. Thank you for making me feel like a part of your family. I love you so very much.

  6. ..and just to cheer you up, if needed, here is a funny picture of your great grandson, Cameron, that I took this morning. He likes to sit in the window, like a house-cat and yell BUS!!! when he sees one drive by. Which is allll the time :)

(I hope the link works, Im bad with this stuff!)

I wish we could come visit you!! I hope everyone is spoiling you rotten, as I would be if I were there -- Mostly with foot and neck rubs - the usual. Thank you for all those wonderful memories at your ranch in Colorado. I caught myself looking it up on google maps last summer - dreaming of buying it back and hitting that sled-run with my kids and grandkids. It was perfect. And in case I never said thank you for helping me figure out my Easy-Bake-Oven that I got for Christmas when I was 5 -- thanks for that, too. Im so glad you and Grandpa spent so much time visiting AZ the past few summers so that you could meet Sydney and Cameron. It was so nice to visit and laugh with you both again.

When I was a kid I remember being scared of Grandpa and you would always save me from his terrorizing. I remember visiting you in NC and we went sailing one afternoon (I was probably 11 or 12) - We were taking the dingy back to the doc and grandpa told me "Quit rocking the boat or I'll throw you over!", then smiled. It wasn't until then that I realized he had just been joking for the last 12 years! I love you both so much and Im so happy to have you as a Grandmother. We are all so blessed! I love you so much!

  7. This picture warms my heart so very much.

Grandma, thank you for your love and kindness shown to me when I joined the family. Thank you for caring about our children and our well being and for making us laugh and enjoy time together!

Brooklyn always talks about Great Grandpa Hamilton's "robot knee" and how cool it is :)

We are praying for you unceasingly, and send all of our love and best wishes. What a wonderful example you have been of a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Thank you for having a testimony and for believing in the gospel of Jesus Christ and keeping your family and future generations on the path to eternal life. You are a great blessing in our lives.

    All my love,
    Bethany

  8. The kids wanted to say a few words:

Kimberly says "I love you grandma" (when I showed her your picture and explained what was happening she teared up. I think it was overwhelming, so her words were brief)

Zachary says "I yuhve you too too"

Benjamin says: "Dear Old Grandma, I love you and I miss you. I know when I die I will get to come meet you someday. You are the best grandma ever." - All his words, no prompting from me. :-)

I just want to say how much I love you. I have so many wonderful memories with you. Especially from all those trips to the ranch. Being scared of your doll room and the scary sewing machines, asking you if we could watch 7 brides for 7 brothers the second we walked in the door, you making the best pecan pie ever, you reminding me to only flush the potty if we went #2...haha! :-)

I am so glad that you have gotten to spend so much time here in AZ over the recent years and that you have been able to see my children as they joined the family. Thank you for being such a loving and caring grandparent. The kids have remembered you in their prayers every night, that you will feel better while you are sick. I hope that you are in relative comfort. It was so hard to see you in pain when you were here last, wishing there was something I could do to help you. But I know you will be well cared for where you are going and that Keith and the others who have gone before you will be waiting to welcome you home.

Now I can't see the computer screen because I am so teary eyed. But one last thanks for raising such a wonderful son who is a wonderful father and for teaching him the gospel. It really will be only a short time before we are all together again in a much more beautiful and peaceful place than we can possible imagine.

    I love you so much,
    Robin
